About me

I’m Cath, a 30-something stay at home mum of two based in Berkshire, UK. I have loved art and crafting ever since I was little. I studied art at school but ended up doing a degree in German and Business Studies and then training to be an accountant, which didn’t give me much of an outlet for creativity.

After having children I really felt like I wanted to get back to doing something creative. I started knitting in 2017, inspired by my mum, and then in late 2018 I started sewing. And I totally love both.

I have quite a petite frame and I struggle to find ready to wear garments that fit me well. Ever since I’ve started sewing I have been so excited to be able to make pretty clothes that are just right for my size and shape.

I sew on my pfaff ambition 1.0 sewing machine and my brother overlocker. My favourite sewing accompaniments are green tea and dark chocolate.

I really love being part of the vibrant online sewing community and I love reading sewing blogs for both inspiration and pattern tips. I hope you enjoy my posts and find them inspiring or useful (or hopefully both!) too.
